Q.  What are the requirements to be able to rent a motorhome?
A.  To Rent an RV You must have a valid driver's license, be an insured driver, have a valid major credit card, and be 25 years of age or older.

Q.  How about renting a trailer?
A.  If you are TOWING the rental trailer, you must have a valid driver's license, be an insured driver, have a valid major credit card, and be 25 years of age or older. You also need to obtain a certificate of coverage for a RENTAL towed trailer from your auto insurance carrier.

If we are DELIVERING the trailer to a local campground for you, and you will NOT be towing, then you must have a valid major credit card, and be 21 years of age or older.

Q.  Is it EXPENSIVE to rent an RV?
A.  When considering an RV for your vacation, you need to remember that it is not just your transportation, it is also your hotel and can be your restaurant. Imagine the cost to take a family of 4 to 3 meals a day at restaurants. Imagine trying to find clean restrooms to use on the road and trying to find an affordable hotel room when you are tired. An RV sets you free from all that, and so for most families, even with the cost of gas included, RVing is still the most affordable way to travel. And that does not even begin to count value of the family together time in the RV! When you add that in, there simply is no better alternative.

Q.   Is a special drivers license required for a motorhome?
A.  No.  A regular, valid, state issued license is all that is required.

Q.  What are "Class C" and "Class A" motorhomes?
A.  A Class C motorhome looks like a van in the front with the roof of the motorhome extending out over the cab.  A Class A looks more like a bus.

Q.  Should I rent a Class C Motorhome, Class A Motorhome or a Travel Trailer Trailer?
A.   The Class C Motorhomes have large bunks over the cab and will generally sleep six to seven  people.  Many people feel that it is easier to drive a Class C because it is more like the van that they may have driven in the past.  In addition, the driver and passenger doors of the Class C's make getting in and out of the motorhome more convenient.   The Class A's, are generally larger than the C's,  They offer more living space, a lot more outside accessible storage and a huge windshield that allows for an "awesome" view. For those looking for an even more economical vacation option, one of our rental trailers may make a good choice. If you have the proper vehicle and the desire to tow the trailer, you can take it anywhere. If not, we can deliver and set up your trailer at any of the area campgrounds.

Q.  What kind of gas mileage can I expect to get?
A.  In all of our motorhomes you can expect to get about 8-9 miles per gallon. For our trailers, the mileage depends on your tow vehicle.

Q.  How many people can travel in a rental motorhome?
A.  That depends on the particular Rental RV model.  There are seat belts for as many as 8 people.

Q.  Can we travel in the rental trailer while it is being towed?
A.  NO.

Q.  Will I be charged extra for use of the generator?
A.  You get 10 free hours. After that, you pay only $3 per hour.

Q.  Can you supply the linens, utensils and other house wares needed for our motorhome trip?
A.  Yes. For a small additional charge, we offer a "livability package," which includes the kitchen items, towels, sheets, etc., for your family.  You can also rent child car seats and bike racks, if needed.

Q.  How does insurance work?

A.   In the unlikely event of an accident, you are responsible for a maximum of $2,500 in damage to the rental  motorhome.  You may, however, purchase insurance at a nominal cost per day, which will lower your responsibility to $1,500.  In any case,  whether you purchase this insurance or not, you are required to leave refundable  damage and cleaning security deposits. Our insurance covers you, at no additional charge, for liability and personal injury up to the limits required by state laws.  You may, however, purchase supplemental insurance at a nominal cost per day, which would raise the limits of this coverage.  Ask your insurance agent.

Q.  I have never used an RV before are they complicated?
A.  Before you leave our location you will be given a thorough demonstration of how everything works.  We also provide back up written instructions.  We won't let you leave until you are comfortable!

Q.  How far in advance should I make a reservation?
A.  As the availability is limited, our rental motorhomes book up pretty fast.  We recommend that you contact us three to four months in advance for peak season (summer) reservations and one to two months for the rest of the year.  All that is required at the time you make the reservation is a $500 deposit.
